Thermal Ceramics Kaocrete HPM 65 Ultra High Strength Castables
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide

Material Notes: Kaocrete HPM 65 is a 3000°F (1649°C) product with excellent thermal shock resistance even under extreme conditions. It is designed to have high crushing strengths, excellent abrasion resistance, and superior resistance to molten metal penetration when compared to conventional castables of similar chemistry.

Features:

  • Provide 2 to 3 times greater strengths than standard castables with similar densities
  • Superb resistance to abrasion or mechanical impact
  • Excellent thermal shock resistance
  • Resistant to slag or metal contact
  • Stronger bond formed when heated
  • Porosity rivals that of dense firebrick
  • All water used in casting is removed once monolithic reaches 350°F (177°C)
