Solvay MTM® 80S Phenolic Resin Matrix

Material Notes:	MTM80S is a 140 to 160°C (284 to 320°F) curing phenolic resin matrix offering high temperature resistance and excellent fire, smoke and toxicity characteristics. MTM80S can be supplied on a range of fibers and fabrics optimized for ballistic, ablative and general industrial applications, and as precursor for carbon-carbon composite production. Features & Benefits: 30 days out life 12°C (70°F) 12 months storage at -18°C (0°F) Recommended cure 30 mins at 160°C (320°F) for 3mm laminates Maximum service temperature up to 100°C (212°F) Can be optimized for ballistic characteristics Ablative characteristics for rocket motor applications Excellent charring characteristic for carbon-carbon composite production Note 1: Material: MTM80S-GF0100 35%RW; Cure cycle: 30 mins at 95°C (203°F) + 30 mins at 160°C (320°F) Information provided by Cytec, subsequently acquired by Solvay.
