Character: Triethyl Orthoformate(TEOF) is colorless liquid, irritating odor. Melting point -76 Deg. Celsius, the boiling point of 146 Deg. Celsius (102kPa), the relative density of 0.891 (20/4 Deg. Celsius), the refractive index of 1.391, a flash point of 35 Deg. Celsius. Triethyl Orthoformate(TEOF) dissolve in ethanol, ethyl ether. Triethyl Orthoformate(TEOF) is slightly soluble in water, but can be decomposed in water.

Usage: Triethyl Orthoformate(TEOF) is as organic intermediate for pharmaceutical. TriethylOrthoformate(TEOF) is the material of synthesizing antimalarial chloroquine and quinolinepiperazine. Triethyl Orthoformate(TEOF) can also be used in polymers, photographic chemicals, antihalationdyes and agrochemical.
