ExxonMobil 20W-50 Exxon Aviation Oil
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Aviation Oil 100, 120 and 20W-50 are  non-dispersant, mineral oil-based lubricants for piston engines of commercial, military and private aircraft. They contain very low concentrations of anti-oxidant, anti-foam and pour point depressant. Aviation Oil 100 and 120 are monogrades of SAE 50 and SAE 60 grade, correspondingly. Aviation Oil 20W-50 is a multi-grade lubricant. High manufacturing standards ensure the dependability of Aviation Oil under the exacting conditions of modern piston engine service. They are approved by leading engine manufacturers throughout the world.

Despite the advent and wide-spread use of ashless-dispersant aviation engine oils, some operators prefer to continue the use of non-dispersant mineral oil lubricants, which have provided excellent service for many years. In addition, many engine builders and overhaul agencies recommend or require the use of non-dispersant oils for break-in of new or newly overhauled engines. Aviation Oil of a viscosity grade selected to match the ambient temperature operation conditions of the aircraft meets these needs in accordance with the requirements of all major engine manufacturers. Aviation Oil products are U.S. Military approved under SAE J1966, which replaced MIL-L-6082E and are listed in the U.S. Military Qualified Products List QPL-1966. Specific viscosity grades are approved by Pratt and Whitney, Teledyne Continental Motors, and Textron Lycoming, and are included in their qualified products lists.
