Saint-Gobain Norton® Log Home Foam® V790
Categories: Polymer

Material Notes: Description: Provides Positive Seal in Log Home Joints: Norseal® Log Home Foam® V790 is a medium-density foam specifically developed for log home gasketing. Under a minimum of 25 percent compression, V790 provides an air, water and dust seal in all common log home joint designs. Compatible with all commonly used wood preservatives, Norseal® Log Home Foam® V790 maintains dimensional integrity. It will not cold flow, eliminating unsightly oozing, and its cellular foam substrate allows it to conform to curved and irregular surfaces.

Stays Flexible for Easy Application: The low force to compress of Norseal® Log Home Foam® V790 permits easy assembly. It stays flexible at low temperatures for easy application and fast recovery. Formulated for good compression set properties, the foam provides a uniform (constant) seal during both initial construction and subsequent settling and shrinkage of seasoned logs.

Excellent Adhesives Eases Assembly: A high-performance acrylic adhesive on one side speeds installation. Norseal® Log Home Foam® V790's excellent adhesive properties, combined with the low force to compress, permits rapid stacking, aligning and spiking of log tiers. An easy-release paper liner eliminates stretch during application and aids in the placements of the gasket. The rectangular tape profile adapts to all common joint designs.

FEATURES/BENEFITS: Maintains dimensional integrity; Low force to compress permits easy assembly; Conforms to curved and irregular surfaces; Compatible with all commonly used wood preservatives; Stays flexible at low temperatures; Rectangular tape profile adapts to most joint designs; Provides excellent adhesion to wood.

Typical applications include: Log homes, high-movement joints, low temperature sealing, lid seals of medical waste containers. All data based on a 0.25 inch test sample.(Available in thicnkesses from 1/4" to 1/2".)
