Solvay RHODICARE XC Surfactant
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: Description: Rhodicare® XC is similar to standard Xanthan Gum, this grade displays improved microbial specifications. It has high electrolyte stability over a wide range of pH and fast hydration rate. It exhibits Pseudo-plastic non-thixotropic behaviour, antisyneresis agentand reduces gel exudation. Approved for Ecocert.

C.T.F.A. /I.N.C.I. Name: XANTHAN GUM

CAS: 11138 - 66 – 2

EINECS: 234 – 394-2

Recommended use level: 0.2 - 1%.

Soluble in water

Compatible with Non-ionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants.

Available in: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America

Applications: Sodium salt of an anionic high molecular weight hetero-polysaccharide produced by pure culture fermentation of Xanthomonas campestris, purified by recovery with iso-propanol, dried and milled. Thickening and stabilizing hydrocolloid giving aqueous solutions of high viscosity and high yield value even at low concentrations, not affected by temperature. Pseudo-plastic non thixotropic behaviour. Effective suspending and stabilizing agent for multi-phasic systems: aqueous suspensions, emulsions and foams, easily sprayable, flowable, pumpable (creams and lotions, toothpastes…). Thickening agent for creams, suspensions, shampoos, gels; synergistic effect with galactomannanes, glucomannanes. Anti-syneresis agent, reduces gel exudation.
