BYK ADD-VANCE® Cleaning Masterbatch  (discontinued **)

Material Notes: Fields of application: Cleaning masterbatch for thermoplastic materials like olefins and styrenics. To be used in extruders and die-systems for all film- and filament / fibers lines as well as injection- and blow molding processes.
Examples: Purging material for cleaning the extruder e.g. for color changes, removal of black spots and degraded polymer

Mode of action and advantages: ADD-VANCE® Cleaning is a ready-for-use non-toxic cleaning masterbatch. Degraded production polymer, additives and pigments will swell due to reactions with ADD-VANCE® Cleaning. As a result impurities will loose from the metal parts and be removed from the machinery.

Advantages: Excellent cleaning of extruder parts; Effectively removes black spots in one or two cleaning operations. Only a small amount of cleaning material is needed. Cost-effective cleaning masterbatch; Saves time and energy for the cleaning operation. Reduction of machine downtime; Penetrates effectively into all dead areas of extruder and die. Shorter start-up periods; Can be processed like general thermoplastic granules, processing conditions (temperatures) do not need to be changed; Non-sticking pellets, dust free dosing; Safe and easy handling, will not damage cylinder, screw, die, and nozzle systems of the machines, even when used repeatedly; and Using ADD-VANCE® Cleaning is the last remedy to remove black spots before taking an extruder apart (pulling the screw).
