Chesterton ARC MXC Castable Extreme Wear Compound  (discontinued **)
Categories: Ceramic; Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced ceramic composite, with flowable viscosity, for the repair and protection of all metal surfaces subjected to severe erosion, abrasion and chemical attack. It can be hand troweled on horizontal surfaces at a minimum thickness of 6 mm as well as poured into casting applications at minimum thickness of 9 mm (3/8”) or more. Non-shrinking, 100% solids. ARC MXC is formulated with a high concentration of ceramic beads and fine ceramic particles for extremely abrasive environments where superior protection is desirable. ARC MXC may be molded where close tolerances in application and a smooth finish are necessary, or where accessibility is limited.

Benefits:

  • Lowered viscosity allows it to be molded to precise dimensions for critical tolerances.
  • Excellent wear characteristics extend equipment’s operating cycles.
  • Tough resin structure resists thermal-mechanical shock
  • Performs well under fluctuation chemical environments.

Suggested Uses:

  • Exit Cones
  • Transport Pipelines for Abrasive Material
  • Hoppers and Silos
  • Cyclones
  • Ceramic Tile Lined Chutes
  • Slurry Pumps and Pipe Elbows
