Solvay CYCOM® 5216 Epoxy - Unidirectional S-Glass Prepreg, After Environmental Exposure

Material Notes: CYCOM® 5216 is a 200 – 250°F (93 – 121°C) curing, modified epoxy resin. Service temperature range is -67 to 180°F (-55 to 82°C). This prepreg is manufactured by hot melt processing and is virtually solvent-free. Glass fiber reinforced CYCOM 5216 is used in military and commercial helicopter blades and structures and is extensively used for engine nacelles.

Property data for Standard Cure, S-Glass Fiber, Unidirectional with 52.7% fiber volume. Oil soak = seven days at 160°F (66°C) in MIL-H-83282. Water boil = boiled two hours in distilled water. Temperature exposure = 1000 hours at 180°F (82°C)
