Versalis Extir® CM Galileo Io 5 Expandable Polystyrene - Continuous Mass
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polystyrene (PS); Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

Material Notes: Product Description:
  • Extir CM is the new expandable products range produced with the new Continuous Mass technology. All the products have a very low dimensional dispersion and a reduced content of blowing agent. Extir CM does not contain CFC or HCFC. Extir CM Galileo Io 5 contains an atherman additive that reduces heat transfer, and the items produced with it, light gray in color, have excellent thermal insulation properties. Its unique formula makes it more resistant to sunlight exposure than other products.

Applications: Extir CM Galileo Io 5 is used to produce blocks and items having a thickness higher than a few cm to be used for thermal insulation in buildings. Its thermal conductivity, strongly improved with respect to conventional products and its good mechanical strength make it apt for all applications in which fire resistance is not compulsory, such as

    • plasterboard/EPS panels (doublage)
    • floor insulating elements.
