Thermal Ceramics Min-K 2000 Data Recorder Molded Min-K Insulation
Categories: Ceramic

Material Notes: Min-K Data Recorder materials (so named because of their application in protecting Flight Data Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder memory chips) are a specific group of materials available in two types: endothermic and non-endothermic. Min-K 2000 is typically supplied in 20 pcf and Min-K 1303 at 35 pcf density are easily molded and/or machined to customer requirements. Molded Min-K insulation has been used successfully in manned spacecraft, aircraft, and similar high-temperature applications where low thermal conductivity plus space and weight savings are a critical consideration.

Features:

  • Microporous
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • Compression resistant
  • Machined to customer specifications
  • Lightweight
  • Endothermic protection
  • Organic free
