Covestro Baytec® SPR-085A Polyurethane
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Polyurethane, TS

Material Notes: Characterization: Baytec SPR-085A is a two-component, 100%-solids spray system with a Shore A hardness of 85*.

Properties / Applications: Baytec SPR-085A is a two-component, 100%-solids spray system with a Shore A hardness of 85*. The isocyanate component is a modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) prepolymer, and the polyol component is a polyether polyol blend. The system has added UV stabilizers and is used in spray applications to improve the corrosion, weather, and abrasion resistance of metal and concrete. It also improves weather and abrasion resistance when applied to wood, plastic, and porous organic and inorganic materials. In-mold application is also possible. Typical uses are for the protection of pipes, tanks, fabrics, and wood, as well as protective surfaces for flexible, rigid, and structural foams. The system can be pigmented to almost any color. As with any product, use of the Baytec SPR-085A system in a given application must be tested (including field testing, etc.) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
