Material Notes: Chevron Compressor Oil 260 is a high viscosity index lubricant for use in natural gas compressors.

It is formulated from a blend of base oils and additives that provide protection against rust, corrosion, and wear.

Chevron Compressor Oil 260 is used to lubricate the cylinders of reciprocating gas compressors.

Chevron Compressor Oil 260 is recommended for use in:

  • natural gas compressors such as Ariel, White Superior (Cooper), Cooper Bessemer, Energy Industries, Worthington, and Dresser Rand.
  • dry natural gas, or natural gas containing carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide.
