Material Notes: Solef® 80 000 ePVDF Bead Foam is an innovative lightweight expanded material that retains the key characteristics of pure PVDF while adding: Lightweight (density down to 60 g/L), Improved thermal insulation, Increased resilience, Repeated impact resistance. Manufactured by our partner JSP using novel expansion technology, Solef® 80 000 ePVDF Foam can be molded via steam chest molding, and this imparts new characteristics previously unobtainable using existing materials. Applications that demand high purity and those which require aggressive chemical, fire, UV, and radiation resistance rely on PVDF foam for insulation, sheeting, and other structures. The foam can be combined with skins to create composites and sandwich structures.
