Ti-25Al-10Nb-3V-1Mo Titanium Aluminide
Categories: Metal; Intermetallic; Nonferrous Metal; Titanium Alloy

Material Notes: Alpha-2 Titanium Aluminide Ti3Al based alloy. Ti-25Al-10Nb-3V-1Mo refers to the atomic percentage composition. The niobium addition improves stress rupture and elevated temperature strength versus Ti3Al, while the molybdenum addition also increases the elevated temperature strength. Intermetallic aluminides have good mechanical properties and stability to be used in high temperature environments. A thin protective Al2O3 coating forms to provide oxidative stability.
